Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless is committed to ensuring the experience of homelessness in our community is rare, brief, and nonrecurring. We believe access to housing is essential in helping us reach our collective community goal. The H.O.M.E Fund (Housing Opportunities Made for Everyone) provides long- term strategic sustainability to CSAH’s mission by providing funding and support to all housing owned, operated, and managed by CSAH. CSAH is the owner, operator, and manager for the Cove at Dundee and the Cottages at Dundee.

Housing Veterans Exiting Homelessness
THE COVE
The Cove At Dundee reduces veteran homelessness by providing a community of permanent, affordable tiny homes. Savannah’s Veteran’s Tiny House Project was the first of its kind in the state of Georgia and has now become the model and impetus of numerous tiny house villages supporting the needs of veterans experiencing homelessness. Since its inception, The Cove at Dundee community has provided homes for over 60 veterans exiting homelessness. Our community has 46 tiny homes, 2 clubhouses, a medical clinic, gardens and a pavillion.

DUNDEE COTTAGES
Dundee Cottages is a 40-unit flexible housing development next to the Cove at Dundee. Like the Cove at Dundee, the Cottages are a first of its kind community for families and children exiting homelessness. There will be a total of 40 units with 3 different layouts depending on the size of the household and will be able to house up to 126 people total. This village will also have a caretaker cottage, a 2,000 square foot Community Center with a computer lab, laundromat, private counseling office, and a meeting room with a full kitchen for both communities.

The mission of Project R.I.S.E (Resilient, Innovative, Sustainable, Empowered) is to provide housing, case management, and wrap-around support to working families who are struggling to attain housing due to the housing crisis in our community.
Almost 40% of families in Chatham County are one financial crisis away from homelessness, and the percentage will continue to increase as the cost of living outpaces wages. Project R.I.S.E seeks to aid families who, if provided an affordable housing opportunity, can successfully regain their self-sufficiency.
