CSAH August 2023 Newsletter: Looking Back and Moving Forward

A Word from our Executive Director

As we move into the Fall season, we’ve found ourselves looking back at the accomplishments and work of the team here at CSAH while remaining focused on the work still to be done. Taking a moment to collectively acknowledge the lives changed by the work of our team and the broader Chatham/Savannah ecosystem of compassion, we are grateful to a part of a community who cares deeply about our friends and neighbors experiencing homelessness. Your support ensures everyone has help finding their way home.

What's Next

Looking towards the second half of the 2023, CSAH and our community has so many incredible projects coming down the pipeline that would not be possible without YOU! Read about the upcoming completion of the Final Phase of the Cove and the development of Dundee Cottages, a 40-unit tiny home community for families and children experiencing homelessness.

Our Combined Impact - By the Numbers

Housing

We would like to acknowledge the brilliant work of our housing staff. They have helped over 550 chronically homeless individuals with disabilities and nearly 40 homeless persons without disabilities find housing.

Give Change That Counts

Aimed to increase public education and awareness, this program hopes to encourage compassionate community members, tourists, and others to support local day centers where citizens who feel the need to panhandle can connect with critical services and support. While panhandling is not illegal, there are more meaningful ways to support people in need. When you give to this initiative, you join our efforts to help make Chatham/Savannah the very best place to live, work and play. Thanks to support from the City of Savannah, public signs are being installed in areas of the community with high pedestrian traffic.
