Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless is a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit organization established in 1989 by the Georgia Legislature. CSAH’s mission is to lead the development of sustainable community practices to end homelessness in the Chatham Savannah Community.
Founded in 1989 by the Georgia Legislature, CSAH acts as a coordinating and leadership body for homeless services in Chatham County. CSAH works in partnership with nonprofit service providers, government officials, business leaders, and the faith community to reduce and eliminate homelessness.
Annually in Chatham County, CSAH and its Continuum of Care (CoC) partners assist over 6500 individuals, youth, and families. CSAH works with community leaders to educate the public about why homelessness occurs and advocates for needed change with elected officials, local government and business leaders, the nonprofit sector, state, and national leaders.
Leading the development of sustainable community practices to reduce homelessness.
We envision a community where a person’s circumstance does not determine their access to square footage. We believe in safe quality housing for all.
We value Compassion, Integrity, and Courage in all that we do at CSAH.
